Arctic Glacier, the premier provider of high-quality, premium ice products in North America, is accelerating growth and enhancing commercial strategies through ongoing innovation and key hires. A new Chief Commercial Officer will support the company’s emphasis on strong quality systems, premium product offerings, and a refined go-to-market and sales structure.
Arctic Glacier is the fastest-growing brand and the only one within the category to see year-over-year increases. During the past year, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Laport has pursued strategies to improve Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA), generate revenue, and drive growth - most notably, increasing production capacity at select facilities to allow Arctic Glacier to capture more market share.
“Arctic Glacier is setting the pace for growth, and I’m proud of our entire team for rolling up their sleeves to take an active role,” said Peter Laport, Chief Executive Officer for Arctic Glacier. “We’re respected for going above and beyond for customers, and this performance-based culture is helping us to realize our goals.”
Arctic Glacier offers a comprehensive range of products and services, including industrial solutions, that are International Packaged Ice Association (IPIA)-accredited, National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)-certified, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-compliant for use in virtually any food grade and industrial application. For events, Arctic Glacier provides premium, crystal-clear ice in various forms—crushed, cubed, block, or sculptured—delivered precisely when needed, with trailer drop-offs available in select locations.
Additionally, Arctic Glacier plays a crucial role in disaster and emergency relief by supplying easily transportable ice that can be melted onsite for hydration, making it an essential resource in crisis situations.
Arctic Glacier Adds Chief Commercial Officer to Drive Growth
As part of Arctic Glacier’s commitment to quality and excellence, the company recently welcomed Jay Ellis as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Ellis brings a wealth of experience from CPG and food and beverage companies, driving commercial strategies and revenue growth. Ellis will lead Arctic Glacier’s Sales and Marketing team in his new role, identifying new market opportunities and forging strategic partnerships for company growth and long-term profitability.
Ellis was recently Vice President of Sales for Humm Kombucha, a privately owned functional beverage company in Bend, Oregon. There, he served as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and oversaw the leadership, strategy, and business plan to drive top-line revenue. Previously, Ellis was Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Bonduelle Fresh Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bonduelle and home of the Ready Pac Foods brand, where he managed the Sales, Customer Development, Research & Development, and Marketing teams. Ellis also held leadership roles at Nestlé, Gillette, and Johnson & Johnson.
“Arctic Glacier builds enduring partnerships from a foundation of trust and excellence,” said Peter Laport. “Jay shares our vision to deliver premium ice products with unparalleled service to our valued customers. His expertise will bring Arctic Glacier into new areas.”
“Our team prioritizes customer needs to exceed expectations. I’m committed to making Arctic Glacier the most trusted partner for innovative ice solutions,” said Jay Ellis, Chief Commercial Officer for Arctic Glacier. “Enhancing our commercial strategy and operational excellence will only strengthen Arctic Glacier’s position as a market leader.”
