Retail consultancy W. Capra is offering a new service aimed at helping convenience stores navigate the early stages of M&A, the company announced on Monday.
The company will work alongside c-store retailers, offering “strategic advisory on the construction of the deals, planning and validation of deal economics, and a deeper dive due diligence to establish a day one cutover and phased integration roadmap,” according to the announcement.
The new offering will be led by Lisa Biggs, a partner with W. Capra.
Biggs joined the company when it acquired fellow c-store consulting firm Impact 21 in April, according to her LinkedIn bio. She was president and CEO of Impact 21at the time it was acquired, having worked there for more than 25 years. Before that, she also spent several years as pricebook and retail automation manager for Speedway and SuperAmerica.
The development of W. Capra’s new c-store M&A service comes as the industry continues to face challenging economic conditions that are squeezing many smaller players out of business.
“This is a critical period of change for Convenience & Downstream Energy, and I am confident our extended focus will position our clients and industry to get the most out of M&A strategies and investments,” said Biggs in the announcement.
