United Dairy Farmers has promoted Justin Jefferson to chief financial officer of the Cincinnati, Ohio-based c-store chain, a company spokesperson confirmed to C-Store Dive on Monday.
Jefferson assumed the role on June 1. He replaced Darryl Neltner, who retired at the end of May.
As CFO, Jefferson will oversee the company’s financial operations, including in areas like accounting, payroll, pricebook and ordering.
Jefferson joined UDF in 2019 as retail controller, according to information from the spokesperson. Before that, he spent nearly 15 years in a variety of accounting and financial roles, including as vice president and corporate controller of accessories designer Totes Isotoner and division controller for laser vision correction company LCA-Vision, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Neltner, who has been with UDF for more than two decades and had served as CFO since 2019, will continue to work with the company part time during Jefferson’s transition, not only helping him acclimate to the new role but also assisting the Lindner family — UDF’s owners — with other projects.
“We want to thank Darryl for his 26 years of service to UDF,” the spokesperson said.
