Stewart’s Shops has named Chad Kiesow as its first chief operating officer.
Kiesow took over the role in November, according to a Stewart’s spokesperson. He has been with the company since 1994, according to an article on the company’s website.
“Over the 30 years I’ve worked upstream in facilities, real estate, gas marketing, various different avenues,” Kiesow said in a video on Stewart’s website.
His most recent role was as vice president of facilities, according to the spokesperson.
Kiesow joined Stewart’s when it acquired Bonfare Food Stores, the convenience store chain he worked for as a controller at the time, in 1994.
As he settles into his latest role, he recently worked several shifts at various Stewart’s locations — stocking shelves, working the register and more — to celebrate the company’s Holiday Match fundraising program.
“Working in the shop gives me an even greater appreciation of just how hard our partners work every day,” Kiesow said.
Stewart’s Shops owns and operates more than 350 locations in New York and Vermont. The company, which was founded in 1945, also runs its own dairy and is well known for its ice cream selection
