- The burritos come in beef and pork varieties and are produced by retail food distributor Tres Picosos, which specializes in burritos. The beef burritos feature chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, while the pork option includes hatch mild green chiles and jalapenos.
- New food launches have become a regular occurrence at Rutter’s ever since the convenience retailer debuted its rotating foodservice menu in March 2023.

Rutter’s menu has included foods of varying cuisines over the years. Its staples include build-your-own sandwiches and bowls, as well as pizzas, burgers, fried chicken and fish, and salads. Over the past year, Rutter’s has gotten creative with items like chicken and waffles, a peanut butter burger, pulled pork fries and a breakfast sandwich with doughnuts as the buns.
Its latest burrito launch underscores its mission to introduce new items and innovate its existing offerings, Philip Santini, senior director of advertising and foodservice for Rutter’s, said in the announcement.
“We're thrilled to unveil new selections that resonate with our customer base, with plans for further expansion in the future,” he said. “Our customers clearly love the Mexican flavor profile, and we're committed to enriching this aspect of our menu.”
Denver-based Tres Picosos has produced authentic Mexican burritos for the convenience and foodservice channels since 2005. Its burritos are available nationwide through Dot Foods, Inc.
York, Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s operates 87 convenience stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. Besides c-stores, the family-owned business has a dairy and beverage company and a real estate arm.
