- The 8,200-square-foot store will be located at the corner of Henderson Street and West Lancaster Avenue. It features a particularly large parking lot with a fueling canopy in the rear of the building, as well as patio seating directly outside the store.
- Although QuickTrip has not confirmed the format the upcoming store will follow, the retailer’s remote travel centers are also about 8,200 square feet and have similar features.
Dive Insight:
If QuikTrip’s latest store in Fort Worth is indeed one of its remote travel centers, it would be the retailer’s first of that kind in Fort Worth and 31st throughout Texas, according to QuikTrip’s website. To date, QuikTrip has 97 travel centers overall.
The two-story building was designed to meet Fort Worth’s Downtown Urban Design Standards, which are meant to improve and protect the appearance, value and function of properties in the area, according to Now.Town.
Specifically, Fort Worth’s design guidelines require that new properties promote a pedestrian-oriented urban form; maximize connectivity and access; require excellence in the design of the public realm; support new and existing downtown businesses; support the preservation of historically significant buildings; encourage creativity and architectural diversity; minimize negative impacts on natural resources; and encourage the integration of art into the public and private development.
In addition to several independent and local c-stores, Fort Worth’s newest QuikTrip has multiple 7-Eleven stores in the neighborhood.
A spokesperson from QuikTrip did not respond by press time to an inquiry for more details on its newest large-format store being built in Fort Worth.
Founded in 1958, Tulsa, Oklahoma-based QuikTrip operates more than 1,000 convenience stores in 17 states.
