Pilot Company named Jamie Landis as its senior vice president of business planning and execution in December, a company spokesperson confirmed.
In the newly created role, Landis oversees the development, refinement and execution of Pilot’s long-term enterprise strategy, which includes initiatives like the company’s New Horizons remodeling program, the spokesperson said.
Landis joined Pilot in June 2021 as senior director of human resources strategy and operations. Less than a year later, she was promoted to vice president of team member experience, leading Pilot’s programs for attracting, hiring and retaining talent, as well as delivering on its overall human resources strategy.
Landis also led Pilot’s Centers of Excellence for talent development; diversity, equity and inclusion; and people analytics and philanthropy, according to her LinkedIn bio.
Last summer, Landis shifted to acting chief people officer when former leader Paul Shore left the company. Julius Cox has since taken over that position, and will lead Landis’ previous team member experience and human resource initiatives moving forward, the spokesperson said.
Prior to joining Pilot, Landis held HR-focused leadership positions with Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos, Dick’s Sporting Goods and hospitality firm Delaware North.
Landis’ promotion finalized a busy year for Pilot’s executive team, which saw major changes in 2023. Besides her and Cox’s new positions, the company named Adam Wright and Joe Lillo as its new CEO and CFO, respectively, in May, and then appointed Brad Anderson as new chief operating officer in August.
