Dive Insight:
As convenience retailers increasingly look to streamline their technology efforts, PDI has integrated its platform with numerous other programs or technology like Mashgin self-checkout over the past year.
Since last April, the company has also acquired c-store technology company Skupos, partnered with Car IQ to add vehicle-recognition-based fuel payments and integrated with order management company Otter.
With its latest updates, PDI is continuing its mission to “solve the detailed and specific needs” of its end-market operators, Bethany Allee, senior vice president of marketing for PDI, said in the announcement.
“We're dedicated to providing ongoing training on how to best use our solutions and engaging the community on emerging trends with thought leadership content — which all leads to greater business success for our customers and everyone across the industry,” Allee said.
PDI’s warehouse mobility, live pricing data, sustainability consulting and all-access PDI University passes aren’t the company’s only new offerings. It’s also launching rewards codes for gas-finder app GasBuddy along with a virtual private network security platform, a cybersecurity protection tool, a logistics hauler payment system, loyalty tiering functionality and remote access to web-based customer data.
Alpharetta, Georgia-based PDI offers a variety of technologies and solutions, including loyalty, logistics and cybersecurity programs. The company works with over 200,000 retail locations around the globe.
