Parkland Corporation has named Troy Dickson vice president of retail for Parkland USA, effective Sept. 4, a company spokesperson confirmed.
Dickson was previously director of retail operations for Parkland’s Western Canada operations, a role he held since January 2015, according to his LinkedIn bio. In this position, Dickson had full profit and loss responsibility for 850 company and dealer sites, and led the day-to-day operations at these locations, including managing its employees and customer experience, Parkland's spokesperson said.
Prior to joining Parkland in 2015, Dickson was director of operators for Texcan, a large Canadian wire and cable distributor, where he serviced the oil and gas upstream business, the spokesperson said. Dickson also owned Whistler Creek manufacturing and retail furniture stores and a supply business in Hong Kong, and held various senior-level roles with the Pepsi Bottling Group.
The news of Dickson’s appointment was first reported by CSP Daily News.
Dickson’s promotion to lead Parkland’s U.S. retail division coincides with Parkland naming former Couche-Tard executive Francis Lapointe as its new vice president of retail for Canada. Parkland’s spokesperson did not clarify why the company has undertaken these changes atop its retail leadership.
