Dive Insight:
Haugh has nearly three decades of experience working in the fuel and technology industries. He began his career in 1994 as a distributor recruitment coordinator with ExxonMobil. He later held executive positions with H&W Petroleum and Mansfield Oil before being named president of Parkland’s USA division in 2017, according to his LinkedIn profile. Haugh also co-founded petroleum e-marketplace FuelQuest — where he worked with clients such as 7-Eleven, Wal-Mart, Chevron and others — and was on the board of directors for mobile fueling company Filld.
As he steps away from Parkland, Haugh remains the chairman of trucking logistics software company Trux and on the board of directors for BioBlend Renewable Resources as well as the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS).
Among Haugh’s highlights while president of Parkland USA were a flurry of acquisitions that built the brand’s footprint around the country, including assets from Rhinehart Oil, Missouri Valley Petroleum, Tropic Oil, Kellerstrass Oil, ConoMart Super Stores and others. Haugh also helped lead Parkland’s electric vehicle (EV) charging push, which began earlier this year in British Columbia.
As of today, Parkland operates 212 c-stores in the U.S. under a variety of banners, including On the Run, Hart’s, Farstad Oil, Superpumper, KB Express and Mort Distributing.
“While I am saying farewell to Parkland, I look forward to cheering this winning team on for many years to come,” Haugh said in a statement on LinkedIn.
Erickson joined Parkland Corporation as chief information officer and vice president of information technology at the start of 2020. In May 2021, he was promoted to COO of Parkland USA.
Prior to joining Parkland, Erickson worked for EG Group’s America division — formerly known as Kroger’s c-stores — for 25 years, where he held various roles in marketing, operations, and merchandising leadership before becoming president. In that role, he led 15,000 employees and was accountable for over 1,000 convenience and fuel centers in 24 states.
