Dive Insight:
Sanker’s move to president of Parkland USA comes less than a week after the company named current chief operating officer Jay Erickson as interim president in the aftermath of Haugh’s departure. As Sanker takes over, Parkland did not specify any changes related to Erickson’s role as COO.
Sanker, who has been president of Parkland Canada since November 2019, previously held executive roles with BP across nearly 17 years, including COO and chief marketing officer, according to her LinkedIn profile.
“Having led our Canadian segment since 2019, Donna has provided strong leadership and has strengthened our Canadian business,” Parkland said in the announcement. “As president of our USA segment, Donna will now lead and support our U.S. team and strengthen our ONE Parkland culture.”
As White succeeds Sanker in leading Parkland Canada, he leaves his current role of senior vice president of strategic marketing and innovation. During his nearly six years in the position, he led the integration of several acquisitions, the launch of Parkland’s rewards program, the expansion of On the Run stores and other programs, according to the announcement.
White has been with Parkland since 2014, and prior to joining the company, was the head of Dollar Financial Group’s Canadian subsidiary, National Money Mart Company, from 2011 to 2014, and spent 18 years at retailer Canadian Tire Corporation, according to Parkland’s website.
“Ian’s knowledge of our Canadian business and brands makes him the natural president of our Canadian segment,” Parkland said in the announcement.
Krogmeier, who has been Parkland’s senior vice president of supply, trading and refining since 2018, will also now lead Parkland’s U.S. Supply Co., the company said. Prior to joining Parkland, Krogmeier worked in various supply and trading roles around the industry, including nearly 14 years with Chevron.
