Parker’s has named oil and gas distribution veteran Ricky John its new vice president of fuel, according to a recent company announcement.
In his new role, John manages the strategy side of Parker’s fuel department, working closely with the retailer’s executive team. He aims to help grow Parker’s through “a balanced approach” on customers, team members, processes and market share, according to the announcement.
“Ricky is a people-first leader and a highly experienced fuels professional who can help us continue to grow our corporate footprint and to offer the high-quality products our loyal customers have come to expect,” said Parker’s founder and CEO Greg Parker.
John has more than 20 years of experience in commercial downstream oil and gas distribution, petroleum products trading, supply chain logistics and strategic transformational change management.
Prior to joining Parker’s, John spent nearly a decade director of sales and business development for Sunoco LP, where he led national expansion efforts, developed new client relationships and oversaw commercial support functions. John has also held various fuel leadership roles with Murphy USA, Pilot Co., ConocoPhillips, Wells Fargo, and agriculture company Nidera, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Savannah, Georgia-based Parker’s operates 76 stores throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina.
