Dive Brief:
- Parker’s Kitchen is expanding its partnership with fuel asset optimization software firm Titan Cloud, the tech company announced on Tuesday.
- While Savannah, Georgia-based Parker’s has used Titan Cloud technology since 2021, the latest agreement adds inventory management and forecasting tools, as well as hauler and carrier oversight.
- C-store companies are increasingly turning to technology to streamline and automate operations, improve planning and cater to their customers.
Dive Insight:
With Parker’s announcing in late 2023 that it hoped to double its store count by 2027, which would boost it to over 150 locations, the company is improving its technical efficiency by adding these new features to a Titan Cloud integration that already powers its operations optimization, environmental compliance and fuel management.
The fuel insights tool gives Parker’s fuel usage and demand patterns data to help refine its demand forecasting. This can help Parker’s avoid running out of fuel and catch fluctuations across its footprint, according to the announcement.
“We’ve always believed in the power of digital innovation to improve our operations,” said Ricky John, vice president of fuel at Parker’s Kitchen. “By expanding our use of [Titan Cloud’s] platform, we are setting ourselves up for long-term success and ensuring that we can meet the demands of our growing network.”
Parker’s Kitchen, which currently has about 90 stores in Georgia and South Carolina, recently introduced its largest store to date as it pursues its ambitious growth plans. The company has opened 14 new stores in 2024, Parker’s Senior Vice President Ted Sadowski III noted in a LinkedIn post last week.
