Doug New, chief information officer for East Coast c-store chain Nouria, will retire on June 6, the company announced Thursday morning via LinkedIn.
New has been CIO of Nouria since joining the company in 2020. The retailer did not mention who his replacement might be, and did not respond by press time when asked for this information.
During his five years with Nouria, New rolled out a company-wide enterprise resource plan and shaped the retailer’s IT infrastructure, according to the announcement. He also helped lead Nouria through last year’s acquisition of Enmarket’s 132 convenience stores across Georgia and the Carolinas, notably leading the migration of Enmarket’s locations into Nouria’s network.
“His hands-on leadership, tireless dedication, and eye for detail made a lasting impact — not only on our systems but on our culture,” Nouria said in the announcement.

Prior to joining Nouria, New was chief technology officer at Yesway for about four years, according to his LinkedIn bio. Before that, he was CIO and chief information security officer for Tedeschi Food Shops, whose 180 c-stores on the East Coast were sold to 7-Eleven in 2015. New also spent over two decades working in IT and engineering leadership roles at a variety of telecom and finance companies before joining the c-store industry.
New has also been on the board of c-store technology nonprofit Connexus since 2012, according to his LinkedIn bio. His role with Connexus has helped Nouria elevate its presence in the tech space, the retailer said.
“We are deeply grateful for Doug’s service and leadership,” Nouria said in its announcement.
