Dive Insight:
When considering items for a private label line, c-store retailers may not immediately jump to branded merchandise, often opting for snacks or beverages instead. But over the past few years, many in the industry have taken advantage of the growth in online apparel shopping by creating their own lines of clothes and other wearables.
“We’ve got the quality and look you’re after, whether you’re hitting the road, exploring a trail or simply searching for well made clothing and accessories at an affordable price,” Maverik’s new merchandise website reads.
Maverik’s new shop features 31 products, most of which are shirts. Its most expensive item is a red puffer jacket for $89.99, while the cheapest product is a silver Maverik car magnet for $2.99.
Customers can order new Maverik-branded items via the new shop for delivery and can pay through credit card, Google Pay or Shop Pay.
A spokesperson from Maverik did not respond by press time to inquiries for more details on the new merchandise shop.
Maverik operates more than 400 convenience stores in addition to over 400 Kum & Go locations across over a dozen Midwest and Western states.
