- Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores has acquired TVC Pro-Driver, a motor club and commercial driver’s license (CDL) protection company, according to a Wednesday press release. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

TVC Pro-Driver’s tools help drivers and fleets access lawyers who can challenge all moving and non-moving citations, such as tickets for speeding or following too close, overweight citations or logbook errors. This can cut down on downtime for court appearances, reduce or eliminate fines, and protect compliance, safety and accountability scores, according to the company’s website.
"TVC Pro-Driver’s portfolio of offerings ties directly to our strategic vision of growing services for the customer base Love’s serves,” Shane Wharton, president of Love’s, said in a statement. He noted that this acquisition is the convenience retailer’s first foray into CDL protection.
Love’s already offers numerous amenities for truck drivers, including parking and shower facilities. It owns and operates a network of more than 430 Love’s Truck Care and Speedco service centers. The company says it’s “the largest oil change, preventive maintenance and total truck care nationwide network,” boasting more than 1,500 maintenance bays and 1,200 emergency roadside vehicles in total.
Love’s also began rolling out truck washing services in June.
In addition to help with driving-related legal matters, TVC Pro-Driver members can also get a 25% discount on drafting a will, creating a trust or filing for divorce or bankruptcy. The company’s services are available in all 50 states and Canada.
Oklahoma City-based Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores owns more than 630 locations in 42 states, as well as 430 truck repair locations, and has more than 39,000 employees.
