Good 2 Go acquires 9 c-stores, including 3 Maverik locations

Good 2 Go Stores LLC, which operates around 80 convenience stores in seven Western states, has acquired nine locations across Colorado, Utah and Wyoming for an undisclosed amount, according to a Sept. 11 report from The Colorado Springs Gazette.
Three of the acquired c-stores in Colorado were bought from Maverik, while the sellers of the other six locations were not identified. The acquired Maverik sites are located in the Colorado Springs area, according to the report.
Although Good 2 Go already operates several c-stores throughout Colorado, its latest acquisition marks its entrance into Colorado Springs, where it will continue to look for growth opportunities moving forward, according to the report.

While it remains unknown exactly when Idaho Falls, Idaho-based Good 2 Go acquired the three Maverik sites in Colorado Springs, each location has already been converted with the former’s branding and banners, according to the report.

All three stores — located at 711 E. Fillmore St. and 7491 Black Forest Road in Colorado Springs and 6180 Timber Rail Point in Fountain, just south of the city — are either down the road or across the street from a Kum & Go, which, as of last month, officially operates under Maverik’s ownership.

Maverik agreed to acquire Kum & Go in April. No sale price was disclosed.

A Good 2 Go spokesperson told The Gazette that purchase of the three Maverik locations was “a special circumstance,” and that the company expects the rest of its growth throughout Colorado Springs to come organically.

Representatives from Good 2 Go and Maverik did not respond by press time to inquiries for details regarding these transactions.

An undisclosed number of Good 2 Go’s other six newly acquired stores are located in the Denver area, where the retailer currently operates seven locations, according to its website. In Wyoming and Utah, Good 2 Go operates 12 and six stores, respectively.

Besides Idaho, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, Good 2 Go operates locations in Arizona, Montana and New Mexico. Several of its locations include either a Subway, Burger King or Champs Chicken QSR. The retailer sells Exxon, Chevron, 76, Phillips 66, Shell, Conoco, Sinclair and Mobil-branded fuel.
