Dive Brief:
- Enmarket has launched a mobile app for its Marketwash car wash locations, according to a company announcement on LinkedIn.
- The app lets customers activate and pay for their car washes via their phones at any one of Enmarket’s 24 Markwetwash locations across the Southeast. Customers can also use it to sign up for any of the convenience retailer’s several car wash subscriptions.
- Although numerous convenience store chains have launched or remodeled their mobile apps in the past year, Enmarket is one of the first to debut a new app solely for its car wash business.
Dive Insight:
Car wash capabilities have been part of many companies’ new or remodeled digital platforms as mobile app development continues around the c-store industry. Retailers like Family Express, Loop Neighborhood Market and Warrenton Oil’s FastLane have all added the ability for customers to connect to their car wash subscription programs via their apps in recent months.
By debuting a car wash-specific app — which is separate from the retailer’s main Enjoy Rewards app — Enmarket is signaling that it’s squarely focused on growing its car wash business in addition to its c-stores.
“The addition of the new Marketwash app is something we couldn’t ignore,” Pete Keller, car wash division director for Enmarket, said in the announcement. “With the rapid technological advances being adopted in today’s world, this new feature helps us maintain a competitive edge in the market.”
Enmarket offers three subscriptions for its Markwetwash car wash program: Clean, which includes a foam soap bath, soft touch wash, spot-free rinse and power dry for either $10 per wash or $24.99 per month; Shine, which also includes an undercarriage wash, weather shield tri-foam polish, wheel wash and clear coat protectant for either $13 per wash or $29.99 per month; and Envy, which also features a high pressure rinse and ceramic buff-and-shine finish for either $15 per wash of $34.99 per month.
A monthly membership is valid for two washes per day per vehicle membership. Customers can wash their vehicles at any Marketwash location.
Savannah, Georgia-based Enmarket operates about 130 convenience stores across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Beyond its c-stores and Marketwash locations, the company also operates around 16 restaurants, such as Subway, Larry’s Giant Subs, Baldino’s and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
