- EG America has joined e-commerce platform WEX’s savings network, according to a June 25 announcement from WEX.
- By joining the network, WEX Edge, EG America now offers fuel discounts across its entire c-store network — which includes Cumberland Farms, Loaf ‘N Jug and other chains — to Edge customers who fill up at its locations.
- EG America is one of several major c-store chains that has gotten creative with how it offers fuel discounts over the past year as inflation continues to plague the industry and consumers.

WEX’s savings platform includes pre-negotiated fuel discounts at participating EG America locations nationwide, as well as savings on “other essential products and services,” according to the announcement.
WEX has over 600,000 commercial fleet customers worldwide, as well as more than 19.4 million vehicles serviced globally, according to the company’s website. Collaborating with EG America is an opportunity to expand that already sizable base, Jeff Stuck, director of merchant and partner development for WEX, said in the announcement.
For EG America, the partnership is the latest example of c-store retailers working with tech firms on fuel discounts. Over the past year, retailers such as Maverik and TravelCenters of America have done the same.
“We pride ourselves on always offering quality, convenience and value to all of our guests, and now WEX members can enjoy an even greater savings on fuel across all 10 of our banners, nationwide,” David Masuret, senior vice president of petroleum supply and operations for EG America, said in the announcement.
Portland, Maine-based WEX’s commerce platform aims to help businesses address operational challenges such as employee benefits, managing and mobilizing fleets, and streamlining business payments.
Blackburn, U.K.-based EG Group currently has more than 5,500 c-stores globally. EG America is EG Group’s largest operation globally, with 1,500-plus sites across 10 banners in 30 states, including Cumberland Farms, Fastrac, Kwik Shop and Tom Thumb.
