Jaime Robles, chief procurement officer for Casey’s General Stores, has announced his departure from the convenience store retailer, according to a Thursday LinkedIn post.
Robles did not specify what his next steps will be.
“After an incredible journey at Caseys, we have decided to take different paths for the future,” Robles said in the post. “I want to express my gratitude to CEO, Darren Rebelez and CFO, Steve Bramlage, for the opportunity and unwavering support throughout our procurement journey!”
Since joining Casey’s in 2020, Robles oversaw Casey’s process, people and technology functions, according to his LinkedIn bio. He also built a new operating model throughout the company and implemented various technology solutions for strategic sourcing and supply chain, as well as led the digitization of its payment processes, boosting the number of electronic payments from 20% of transactions to 70% in a 12-month span.
Casey’s isn’t the only convenience retailer Robles has worked for. Earlier in his career, he spent two years as a regional purchasing manager for 7-Eleven, where he led the company’s international equipment purchasing negotiations for 500 stores.
Robles has also held procurement leadership positions across several other industries. Such roles included senior director of procurement with health technology firm Phillips, head of global procurement and strategic sourcing for General Electric and head of strategic sourcing and procurement for software firm Synertrade.
“To my Procurement team and fantastic colleagues, thank you for believing in the vision and overcoming so many challenges exceeding the wildest expectations,” Robles said in the post.
Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s operates more than 2,500 c-stores in 16 states.
